2 to 8 years DBA experience

Skills required : -

  • Oracle 9i/8i Database
  • Shell Script
  • Unix (Linux, Sun-Solaris, HP, AIX), Windows NT and 2000
  • Oracle Enterprise Manager will be additional advantage
  • Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC) will be additional advantage
  • Quest TOAD will be additional advantage
  • Oracle 10G will be additional advantage

Should have the following experience: -
  • Should have production support experience with development support.
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of Oracle Database.
  • Optimization with Performance Tuning of Oracle database.
  • Physical Database Backup and recovery (Hot and Cold Backups) and Logical Backup.
  • Stored Procedures, Functions and Triggers, Views, Synonyms, Database Links, Creating and Managing Tablespaces and Datafiles, Creating and Rebuilding Indexes, Managing Database Security.
  • Creating Database users and granting roles.
  • Oracle Database installation on various platforms like Sun-Solaris, Windows NT & Linux.

Desirable skills: -
  • Data modeling and design
  • Planning and implementation of Data
  • Database security administration
  • Data migration
  • RMAN
  • Banking domains Knowledge (Preferred)

Other Experience area required: -
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Should have exposure to onsite / offsite model.


Software Engineers & Senior Software Engineers (Job Code: ORA DBA A01):
2-5 years' experience. Must have sound technical, communication and team skills. High energy levels and a desire to learn are required.

Team Leaders & Associate Project Managers (Job Code: ORA DBA B02):
5-9 years' experience. Will be responsible for teams, technical reviews, quality, design & configuration. Knowledge of formal estimation, techniques & quality processes is essential.
